Summary:

The Nabi DreamTab is kid-friendly looking tablet with preloaded apps, speedy performance and good parental controls but it is a complex tablet that heat up, drain battery fast and needs a lot of upgrades.

The nabi DreamTab tablet is the product of cooperation between Fuhu and DreamWorks. It’s designed for 6 to 9 age group. The DreamTab designed to increase creativity of kids giving them a joyful and learning experience. It has a speedy performance, good parental controls and Kid-friendly design. The DreamTab comes with a one-year warranty from nabi. Napi provides the tablet with Wings Learning System.

Display

The 8-inch, 1920 x 1200-pixel resolution screen on the Nabi DreamTab is very good and relatively better than other competitors.

 

Software

DreamTab runs Android 4.3 Jelly Bean. The tablet as nabi elev-8 comes with two separate interfaces, for either children or parents. You can create multiple profiles for your children and customize settings for each child. It comes with preloaded apps varying from learning apps to games.

Wings Learning System: Nabi provide the tablet with this system for learning. It composed of Wings First Steps for early learning, Wings Classroom which provides video-based, instructional and tutorial solution as walk through for kids and Wings N-Site a reporting tool gives you grades on your child performance.

Parental Controls

You can set limits for individual apps or groups of apps. You can also get reports on kids’ usage. Nabi has a reward system that when your kids spend time learning with apps that are educational and enriching, you can reward them with more nabi time or time with their favorite apps and games.

Battery

4500 mAh, Rechargeable Lithium-Polymer Battery. The DreamTab has a bad battery life on testing.

Camera

Two cameras 2.0 MP Front Camera and 5.0 MP Rear Camera.

 

Heat

Some people report that their tablets heated up upon testing it measured 99 degrees which is not comfortable.

Performance

It has NVIDIA® Tegra® 4 T40S Quad-Core processor, 1.6 GHz with burst speed to 1.8 GHz. 16GB, Expandable via MicroSD (Up to 32GB). 2GB RAM
